Meaning in FKRP

Dystroglycanopathies are inherited conditions in which alpha-dystroglycan is not glycosylated correctly. The clinical spectrum ranges from severe congenital disease with brain or eye involvement to later-onset muscular dystrophy. FKRP-related disease is one part of that broader category.
