About FKRP Reference.
FKRP Reference is a free educational resource for families, clinicians, physiotherapists, and researchers who need a clearer path through FKRP-related information.
Purpose
The goal is to create a structured public knowledge base that makes FKRP information easier to find, review, and understand across multiple audiences without mixing that public reference work with personal medical records.
Who the site is for
- Patients and families who need a reliable starting point.
- Clinicians who want a focused, quickly navigable FKRP reference.
- Physiotherapists and rehabilitation professionals who need practical context.
- Researchers looking for organized papers, trials, and open questions.
Public-only boundary
This repository and website are reserved for public-facing material. Private reports, scans, appointment notes, and identifying patient documents are intentionally excluded from the publishing workflow.
If private source material informs the site, it must first be rewritten into generalized, public-safe, citation-supported content before publication.
Maintenance model
The site now uses a public updates page, explicit review cadence, and issue-based backlog triage so evidence work can keep evolving without ad hoc structure changes.
Review status and accountability
Named editorial leads, independent clinical reviewers, and funding or conflict-of-interest disclosures are not currently published here. Do not treat this site as independently clinically reviewed or as endorsed by the organizations it links to.
Page review dates describe the recorded content-maintenance date. Paper summaries, study records, Resources, and Therapeutic Pipeline also state the scope of their source checks, including access limitations. These checks do not identify a clinician who approved the material. The library is selective and does not cover every aspect of FKRP-related disease.

Suggest a correction
Found an error, outdated source, or broken link? Open a public issue with the affected page URL, the statement to check, and a supporting public source if available. GitHub requires an account to submit an issue.
Issues are public. Do not include medical reports, identifying health information, or questions about an individual’s care. This route is for website corrections and is not monitored for urgent medical needs.
Reading, sharing, and privacy
The site does not include advertising trackers, an email signup, or a form for collecting health information. Copy buttons operate on your device, and printing uses your browser. Ordinary hosting logs and the privacy practices of linked services are controlled by those providers.
Site changes are available through the updates page and RSS feed. A feed reader may have its own data practices.
